Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies Arcla sets, why we set them, and how you can control them.
We are Third Frontier Ventures Ltd. trading as Arcla (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our main privacy policy is at arcla.com/privacy-policy. Contact us at support@arcla.com with any questions.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and collect analytical information.
Cookies we set
We use a minimal number of cookies and divide them into two categories.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to work. You cannot opt out of them while using Arcla. They do not track you across other websites.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
__session | Clerk (via Arcla) | Maintains your authenticated session in the dashboard | Session / 1 year |
__client_uat | Clerk (via Arcla) | Tracks whether a session is active to avoid unnecessary server calls | 1 year |
Analytics cookies (optional)
These cookies help us understand how the dashboard is used so we can improve it. We only set them with your explicit consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_* | PostHog (self-hosted at p.arcla.com) | Records anonymous page views, feature usage, and performance metrics | 1 year |
PostHog is self-hosted on our own infrastructure — your data is not shared with PostHog’s cloud.
Cookies we do not set
We do not set:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Cross-site tracking cookies
- Third-party social media cookies
Your choices
When you first visit the dashboard, a banner will ask for your consent to analytics cookies. You can:
- Accept analytics — enables PostHog page-view and feature tracking.
- Essential cookies only — PostHog tracking is disabled. Only the session cookies required to keep you logged in are set.
You can change your choice at any time in Dashboard → Settings → Privacy.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. See your browser’s help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in.
Marketing site (arcla.com)
The marketing website at arcla.com uses only strictly necessary cookies (none, in fact — we do not set any cookies on the public marketing site unless you interact with a form).
