Calls & recording
How recording, the overlay, and your call summary work — and what to check if something doesn’t look right.
Starting a recording. Arcla starts recording when you join a call. If it doesn’t start, check your internet connection and try again.
Ending a call. A call stays open until you end it. If one is still showing as live, open it in your dashboard and choose Done — that closes it and generates your summary.
The floating overlay. You can move or close the overlay at any time from its menu. Closing the overlay doesn’t end the call — end it from the call itself or from your dashboard.
When your transcript appears. Live transcription connects a few seconds after a call begins, so the opening moments catch up once it’s ready.
Getting your summary. Summaries are generated when a call ends. If a call has ended but has no summary, open it and choose Done to finish it off.
A good first step for anything that looks out of date on screen: quit Arcla from the menu-bar icon and reopen it. Your calls and settings are preserved, and it clears most display glitches.
